From Assessment to Action: Tailored Math Interventions for Learners with Diverse Needs

Building on assessment, this workshop demonstrates Flexplicit Instruction — a blend of explicit, heuristic, and flexible teaching — using concrete math examples (number sense, fact retrieval, mental calculations, fractions, percentages). Case studies will illustrate how individualized strategies strengthen skills, reduce anxiety, and foster positive engagement with mathematics.

Dr. Giannis Karagiannakis is Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Athens and Chief Scientific Officer of MathPro Education. An international author and trainer, he specializes in mathematical cognitive profiles and dyscalculia intervention. He coordinates the Dyscalculia Academical Committee and serves as Vice-President of the European Dyslexia Association.
