Charlie Gilderdale

Charlie Gilderdale is the NRICH Secondary Co-ordinator He contributes to the NRICH website and works in schools with students and teachers. His recent work has focussed on problem solving and reasoning and on encouraging students to think mathematically; 
He is responsible for developing secondary-level classroom content that offers opportunities for learning mathematics through exploration and discussion and aims to enrich students’ experience of the subject;


Every student has the right to succeed, and every student has the right to struggle – the NRICH approach at Primary school level

It has been four years since MatteLIST went live, offering problems from NRICH translated for use in Norwegian schools. In this workshop Charlie Gilderdale from NRICH will share some of his favourite “Low Threshold – High Ceiling” Primary problems aiming to inspire all students to think and work like mathematicians.
